This is a specialized but valuable bibliographic reference tool for
library collections that support research on Eastern European
history and politics. It is divided into two major sections.
Part 1 has more than 3,000 entries in 10 languages (but primarily in
Polish) on the Communist Party of Poland and on other revolutionary
organizations in Poland from 1918 to 1990. Sources listed
include books, articles, documents, archives, catalogs, and a
variety of other materials not usually found in major
bibliographical studies. Part 2 is an extensive listing of
600-plus Polish revolutionaries with accompanying bibliographic
entries. An introductory essay provides a historical
background to this period and an analysis of the sources listed.
